It works well, internet and connection to my bluetooth devices has been good so far, the downside is the size of it. I am not sure if all wifi/bluetooth external cards are this big, but it sticks out from your usb port about 3.5 inches and the antenna will stick out to the side 90 degrees about another 6 inches. If your desk doesn’t have much space in the back (like mine), you’ll need to insert it into one of your front usb ports.

Sorry to say but this devices sounds great and all but truthfully this is not the best. Ive had so many problems with it. Like at first it would connect but with limited connectivity. then found out that you had to disable the security of the router then it would work and even then it was slow and not to mention the dongle itself was flimsy and felt like it was gonna break off. it actually did. the cheap plastic snapped off and i had to snap it back in place. Its also very long and bulky like. its not durable and most all waste of money and time. Dont buy this one folks there are many other better wifi usb’s.stay away from this one!!

This item is good. But it lacks some light for indications such as if there are an activity like sending, receiving or searching. Still this 2 in 1 module is a best buy for this series.

I bought this dongle because it had both BT & wi-fi, which I wanted on one of my HTPCs. I wanted to be able to send cell phone pics directly to my PC instead of having to e-mail them from my phone to my Gmail account, then download them. And the PC isn’t near my router so rather than buy two separate dongles for wi-fi and BT, I went with this one. I got it on eBay for just under 30. It was a GREAT deal!
You can tell someone from some other country probably wrote this software because there is actually a misspelling (of the word “running”; it’s shown as “runing”) in an error message. Sort of unprofessional, but has NO effect on how well this thing works. I have another wi-fi dongle that only “saw my Trendnet router, but this thing is picking up a neighborhood network! I live in a house with a yard so I am pretty amazed at the reception. Its signal shows as strong, too, not like it’s out of range. (Of course that person smartly made their network protected like mine so I can’t join it easily, not that I’d want to.)
In addition to the strong wi-fi signal, I did connect my 3-year-old Motorola Razr V3xx cell phone to my PC and sent a voice recording. It was almost instantaneous and the only problem I had was I had to search for the file. It’s not intuitive where the file ended up. It asked me for the passcode to grant the BT connection both on the PC side and the phone side prior to sending. I was about 10 feet from my PC when I sent the file. I can’t really tell if the BT connection distance is also extended by that antenna unless I remove the antenna and compare, but why bother?
As far as the apps: The program for the wi-fi portion is almost non-existence, but I tend to use Microsoft’s wi-fi control anyway. I am using Win7 so it’s been a real challenge figuring out how to view some network settings, but I was able to enter my WPA key using Windows networking. The BT app is IVT, which I got with another BT dongle I had about a year ago. Program looks almost exactly the same as that one. Not the most intuitive interface, but again not impossible to figure out. I just had to remember to click on the Razr when it appeared upon discovery. Otherwise it wouldn’t connect and you sit there looking at it but are not able to send to it.
The wi-fi portion is only G speed (54Mbps) and I wish it came in N speed (150Mbps), but that’s just an item for a wish list. Also, I agree with the other reviewer who stated it’s HUGE because it really is large with that antenna. I put mine in the back of the PC to avoid knocking it off when I walk by. Not everyone will have room in back, though. All in all, though, I really like this adapter.
