I have a PDA with bluetooth, but I also want wifi. I have seen wifi SD cards, but I'm concerned with battery draw, and I don't want to have to keep switching back and forth between my SD memory card and the wifi card. It would be cool to have an 802.11.b with it's own power source to connect to the internet and also connect to my PDA with bluetooth. Does anybody know if such a thing is available?

my notebook has 802.11 b/g, and bluetooth,
pub next door has free public wifi, between me and a pub are couple of thick walls, and i have to sit next to window to receive a signal,
i can connect to it, but i cant go on the internet,
What should i buy to receive stronger signal or how bluetooth can help me to connect?

- 3 GB RAM

I have a Dell Axim x30 Pocket PC with 802.11 WiFi and when I am in my home, I can view about 5 LinkSys connections, no encryption doesn't ask for a username and password, etc... When I open my Internet Explorer, it says cannot connect to the Internet. Go to Settings. I've been in Settings, and don't understand enough to know what the settings should be. I just know the defaults are not working. I have a few Hotels around and most of the advertise free wifi so I believe at least one of the connections is from a Hotel.

I am currently using a homemade waveguide cantenna with a usb dongle inside. I have heard that I might be able to get an even stronger signal with a yagi style antenna (the ones with all those parallel elements, placed in the boon.
