Well you have a few options. Since you don't have wireless internet, you could use the wifi usb connector manufactured by Nintendo, but I think this was recently discontinued, and it didn't work very well. Your other option, also establishing the fastest connection, is to connect the Wii to the modem/router by using an ethernet cable and a LAN Adaptor. However, if your computer isn't right by your Wii you will likely have to buy a long ethernet cable and run it through to the Wii. I suggest using either Nintendo's router which I think can only be purchased on their website, or using this one http://www.mywii.com.au/img/accessory/Nintendo-LAN-Adapter-1.jpg which comes with a five foot ethernet cable, which isn't long enough unless your Wii is right next to your computer as I said before. You can buy it at Gamestop. Note that if you do this though, you are going to have to unplug your ethernet cable to your computer every time so you aren't going to be able to have internet on your Wii and computer at the same time. Another option is to get a wired router so you can have both going at the same time, but then it is just better to go wireless because wireless is only a little more expensive.
So basically your 3 options are:
1. Use the discontinued nintendo wifi usb connector.
2. Use a lan adaptor and not be able to have internet on your pc and Wii at the same time.
3. Get a router (either wireless or wired) and run either a wired connection with either to the Wii or have a wireless connection to the Wii with the wireless router.
I have a wireless router, a Linksys, and it doesn't always work so I have to unplug the modem and router and turn off my pc sometimes which is a pain. I also have a LAN adaptor (the 3rd party one), but I don't use it right now because I bought one and then found about about the whole only Wii internet or pc internet at one time and I can't do that because normally the pc is in use.
I hope I helped and I didn't confuse you. Enjoy your Wii!!!

do u know of a way that I can do this without a usb extension cable? I have it plugged right in the front of my pc case, my signal goes from 50% to 70% and Id like it to get higher, I am 1 house across from my connection, is it best to put near the window? i tried using tin foil to reflect the signal better and it made the signal get worse, Im trying to find any possible way to get better signal, any feedback would be great, thank u
