No. You need a data signal capability to get the GPS data.

@robbertb GPS (Global Positioning System) has nothing to do with transmission standards like 3g (umts), hsdpa, gprs etc. Get your facts straight before posting and misleding people.
On the other hand, A-GPS has something to do with transmission standards because it loads Google maps as you go.
Standard GPS already has maps and just receives a signal (minimum 3 signals in fact) from sattelites and calculates latitude, longitude and altitude, therefore positioning the GPS device on the map.

Now THIS might be interesting! I’ve recently got into emulators (Nes/Snes/Gameboy etc) and have been playing them on my PC with my wired Xbox remote. This right here could be an ultimate emulation platform. It’s also nice that it comes with wifi, great for checking Facebook/email inbetween hardcore retro gaming!
