How do I connect a Wifi NetGear Router?
I Have a Wifi NetGear Router I need to know how to properly setup and wich wires goes where? Im a idiot complete idiot, I just need you to tell me wich wire goes where and where do I connect properly. After that where do I go to get a singnal. There is a Powercord and a yellow wire with a 2 on it. Plz Help right away.

From the modem to the router, use the provided YELLOW cable. It will come out of the MODEM and into the ROUTER into the YELLOW cable slot or into the slot market INTERNET.
TURN ON THE MODEM
TURN ON THE ROUTER
You do this in this order to ensure that the router gets its information from your modem to allow internet access.
IF YOU ARE USING DSL, I strongly suggest you contact the provider for your service to walk you through setting some of the special settings on the router, once you have the harware and software installed.
Install the WIRELESS NETWORK ADAPTOR SOFTWARE onto your PC. It will tell you when to install the ADAPTOR itself.
RESTART THE PC IF NECESSARY
Install the ROUTER software onto your PC.
Once installed, the ROUTER software will help you through the process.
ALWAYS select a Network Key. Choose something that has numbers, letters, and punctuation marks. Try to stay away from ! and 1 for your punctuation and number, they are the most frequent used and hackers will try them.
