Question by Mark H: How can I tell if my computer has an installed wifi card?
I am in a location that is rolling out wireless access to its community. To access this we need to have a wife card or specifically "wi-fi (802.11b/g) card". I have a desk top so I assume I do not have a wifi card as my assumption is these probably only come installed in lab tops. But just in case how do I check if I already have the wifi card so I dont buy something I already have? Also if I need to buy one is this something I can plug into a USB port? How much should this cost me? Thanks

Almost no desktops come with cards, and those are only the most expensive ones. On a desktop you would need an external antenna, the signal will not get through the metal of the case. This would be very visible on the back of the machine.

Their is a problem, it says connected but, when I try to load something, it wont load? I have windows 7, is their any service I should have running or do another step or anyone help to resolve to have it connect and browse the internet? And also on my networks it shows as a modem but not connected? Please Help?

… I proly did something wrong. I did the setup and everything. itouch connected, USB tether on, but when it says I’m connected, I’M NOT!!! On my itouch, bottom part says “internet not verified”. Can you help a beaner out?

@supercr0c Yeah I tried counter stike and Call of Duty, there are some lag spikes and a slightly higer ping but really nothing that effects gameplay.
