iPad Wifi Navigon with QStarz Q818x and BTStack GPS Version 1.2-24995 Working!
iPad using an external GPS unit (QStarz Q818x) utilizing NAVIGON and using BTStack GPS Version 1.2-24995. It works great but at times as you can see in the video you get the MPH speed going crazy for no reason yet the GPS data is still accurate, however. Sorry for the vibration - I don't have stabilizing camera and the method of recording was very crude.

1.) Can the QStarz reciever be plugged in while in use, i understand its running on a battery .
2.) Why does the lady keep saying caution? is that a glitch in the software or is there caution on the road your on?

Id love to know where you found out that an external GPS unit can work with the ipad. I’d like to try this setup for my own car but dont want to pay hundreds for a GPS and especially if there are cheaper options that work the same.

The location update is too slow on the Qatar, hence erratic speed data but accurate location.
