Is it illegal to use someone elses Wifi/wireless router to connect my Wii to the internet?
Question by I Love House: Is it illegal to use someone elses Wifi/wireless router to connect my Wii to the internet?
I tried connecting my Wii to the internet and 4 different connections came up. 2 were locked. The other 2 had perfect 5 bar connection so I guess it was from my neighbor upstairs or across from me. I can't connect my Wii to my computer because I dont have a wireless router, and plus my computer is broken lol. Im usng my Dads btw.

Yes, it’s illegal, and if they catch you on their wireless network they CAN sue!

Yes its illegal. If you know them well then ask them if its okay to use it, expalin its for a Wii so its not like its using major bandwidth. jsut make sure everythign is okay with them before using it, until then keep it off the Wi-Fi.
