Using OBDKey WLAN (www.obdkey.com/wifi) with the iPod Touch and the Rev DevToaster software. Tested on a Vauxhall / Opel Vectra 2008 vehicle with CAN bus. No OBD fault codes were found. Many sensors read in real time.

T-Mobil has the new WiFi phones. Will a wireless router work with them?

Yes Wifi Phone with connect with a WIreless Router. WiFi stands for wireless fidelity’ or "WLAN" this means any WiFi device will work with WIreless Routers and Access Points. Hope This Helps

Sorry.. I meant, how did you go about connecting the two divices? did you have to have bluetooth or wifi on? thanks.

Oil temp and pressure are not included in the OBD-II spec, so are not covered by the software.
The two devices aren’t synced. The RPM reading from the engine conbtroller ECU is the same reading as that shown on the dashboard of the car.
I think there is software available for performance testing.
For tuning you need a custom application per vehicle. This is a specialist market which would be beyond standard OBD-II work.

OBD connectors in the car have 12v supplied by the vehicle. This is used to power the OBDKey unit. No other batteries are needed.

Comparing the phone clock @ 1:30 and 1:48 it took 2min to reboot the phone. No point being made really just an observation about what you’re considering “a while” to reboot .

Its really weird but I bought the Palm Pre plus from Verizon and when I wanted to add the feature all the reps say that the Palm Pre Plus does not tether. Any ideas?
