Is it possible to get GPS WiFi on my cell phone and have an internet connection without paying for a data plan? I have an HTC HD2 smartphone.

Yes, it will simply connect via Wifi instead of using 3G HSDPA.

You won't be able to use assisted GPS since AGPS requires the use of cell phone towers to work out your location, and this requires a little bit internet quota to work. If you don't have a data plan AGPS will be disabled.

It'll just use normal GPS (which would take longer to get a lock than if you had A-GPS).

Have a long truck, RV or trailer, and wondering whether the wireless backup set would work in your case, this wireless backup camera is your answer.
