Actually the Yagi Ant is attached to a Router in my attic on a really short tx line, and the router retransmits a second wifi signal that I pick up with whatever computer I happen to be using. no special card, just what comes standard with computers. It is a Yagi antenna 17dBi with N Type Connector and linksys WRT54GL ROUTER bought as set with ‘firmware’ installed on ebay

Tinfoil hats are great for wifi, but even better for blocking aliens from reading your thoughts! LOL

The best way to get a better WiFi signal is to put a tinfoil hat on your head. The WiFi signals will transmit through your keyboard as you are typing.

Actually I meant to attach the extra wifi antennas to the antenna on your desktop wireless card using cable ties or a rubber band.
You can also do the same thing to boost the signal on a wireless router.

Are you saying use the antennas from the router on the card in the desktop? That would work and most do have 3 DB gain.

If you don’t have money to buy an antenna, here is a solution that is kinda ghetto, but it works.
If you have some of the short nubby wifi antennas that come with Desktop Wifi Cards or an old Wifi Router, you can bundle them together. It will boost your signal slightly and it is free.
