Wifi Trouble please help?

My laptop has windows vista and has a wifi scanner, but i put a new harddrive in the coputer because it wouldnt work and now it doesnt scan or pickup any internet because the harddrive does not recognize it has a scanner is there a program i can get that will scan and use the wifi? I have an Acer extensa 4420
NEVERMIND I WENT OUT AND BOUGHT A WIRELESS CARD THING BECAUSE THE DRIVERS WERENT WORKING AND I NOW HAVE INTERNET

Its vista. You might need to update drivers etc. And if you have Vista, XP and 2000 etc then your in trouble cause vista is not good for this kind of work. This all hopefully will be fixed in windows seven!

I would recommend getting a mac to solve this problem! http://www.store.apple.com
