WWW.RTF-HELI.COM 2.4 GHz E-SKY HBFP V2 X-TREME METAL MODS
While we like the new 2.4 GHz E-SKY HBFP V2, the rotor head remains the weakest point. We added the X-Treme Metal composite Blade Grips, X-treme metal Control Frame, and the X-treme metal swashplate. We also updated the landing gear with Super Skids 400 and Super Grips and changed the battery to an 11.1 volt 1000Mah 25c LIPO for extended fly time by about 3-4 minutes more. We also added 3 and 10 AMP Fast Blow ATO Fuses for the main motor and tail motor respectively. And finaly we added an ON/OFF Power switch for convenience. Great 4-channel heli for beginners. This heli needs little modification as it has most of what the older legacy E-SKY HBFP was lacking. Great job on E-SKY's part.

@moleskine86 Blade tracking is the correct term. On the E-SKY HBFP V2, you need to probably get a new rotor head core. It is plastic and wears out especially if you have many minor crashes. So, get the Center Hub Set (ek-00190) and replace. This should correct the blade tracking and stop the vibration.

i also have the honey bee 2, i am having problems with the blades, the instruction manual calls it double impression, i can’t get rid of it. What can i do? What does dipend from? Please help.
Many thanks

Thanks for the comment. We tried the 7.5 Amp and te 10Amp. The 7.5Amp Fuse blew out a lot more often than the 10 Amp. We haven’t ad a problem with the Rx MOSFET Blowing out using the ATO 10Amp FAST Blow Mini Blade Fuse.
If you decide to get the Totally Brushless Kit, you wil NOT need the fuses anymore which is another plug for getting your heli totally brushless.

hey man u may want to switch it down to a 7.5 amp fuse. theres a few stories of guys who blew the 4 in 1 before the 10 amp on the v2. im going to be ordering my v2 this week

do you have a video on how to change all of that.

These are Walkera Blades that have flames on them. These blades for some reason are stiffer which is better for FP Flying. The stock E-SKY Blades flex too much which can cause coning on fast flying or if your heli is heavy from adding a bigger attery or wireless cam.
August 10th, 2011 - 15:09
What kind of blade do you use?
August 10th, 2011 - 15:19
Any stock carbon brushed motor should have a fuse because the Rx cost about 1/3 to 1/2 of the heli and sometimes the Rx is hard to find as a spare part. Why chance it ? If you are using a brushless motor system you wil not need a fuse. A severe crash can still blow the ESC(highly unlikely), but again, the ESC is a lot cheaper than buying a new Rx.

sweet. cant wait till you got the totall brushless for this HB. i bought 2 of these helis. seeing i fried my rx on 1. i will absolutely wanna upgrade both. just ordered the totally brushless for the eagle50. ill post when i get her flying. btw.. good to know the ESC can handle the back lash. i wonederd about that with my falcon 40. i dont wanna fry more parts.

The 2.4 GHz is sold out everywhere. I’m busy getting this heli totally brushless. The tail motor is a moeny pit as it is only good for about a dozen flights. No fuses are required for the totally brushless system as the ESC can handle the backlash of current from most crashes.

hey is there any chance ull be saleing the
2.4GHz receiver EK2-0706 for the honey bee? for those who are reading this.. put the 10amp fast blow fuse. cost you a buck to save $50 bucks.. or ull be like me holding a fried rx.

As usual, I am waiting for the parts coming from China. The supplier is shipping the converters this Friday. I have been flying the 2.4Ghz Exceed Eagle 50 — It’s freaking awesome. I will try to do some more videos – weather permitting. This heli can handle 10-15MPH very well. The direct drive brushless tail motor provides enough tail authorit to match the headspeed of the brushless main motor. No belts to hassle with and no crappy carbon brushed tail motors to sink into the money pit.

right on. i love ur up grade parts. got some for my falcon 40. im gonna order ur totally brushless for my exceed Eagle 50. cant wait till you get the Brushless Adaptor. on the 28th.

We are in the process of making the 2.4 Ghz to be totally brushless just like the 35/72 MHz version. We hate replacing the tail motor after about 3 dozen flights. The tail motor is a money pit that is also under powered for an 11.1 volt LIPO system. We will keep you posted. Stay tuned …

are you guys looking at making a brushless up grade? or is there one on ur site that im over looking? lacking a brushless mod is whats holding me back from buying one of these.
